Description
Hello, I am a long-time buyer and seller on eBay (since October 1999) with a 100% feedback record, so bid and buy with confidence.
For sale today is a sealed copy of The Monkees Birds, Bees and Monkees album issued in MONO on the Colgems label in 1968. Cover is perfect, all seams from the tight shrink-wrap firmly intact, all corners sharp, no dents or dings. The original price sticker on the front cover is fully intact. The album looks brand new (but it is not, this is an original 1968 issue).
The Canadian release of this album, like its US release, is ultra-rare in the mono format. Mono was essentially phased-out by 1968, and albums released in that year in the mono format are extremely hard to find. The US mono release is highly-sought after and a copy will cost you $1,000+ if you can find one (I used to own a copy of the US mono release and sold it several years ago for $1500 but I wish I still owned it). Anyway, while not as much in demand, the Canadian version of this release is, as stated, extremely hard to find. And, it is in "as-issued" sealed condition. That is why I purchased this album many years ago. It essentially looks brand-new and I doubt you'll ever find another like it (I certainly have never seen one). I have carefully stored this record in my smoke-free home since I purchased it many years ago.
I purchased this album for a price in the several hundreds of dollars years ago but I'm going to sell it in the auction format for the fun of it and to see what the market will bring.
Important Note: to be eligible for a return for refund, this item must be returned in the same condition as when I sold and sent it: sealed and perfect.
