Description
Selling-up my large record collection, amassed over 50 years. There are new listings every week. Do have a look at my other items - I may have something that you didn't even know you wanted!
A rather valuable record - two of these for sale on Discogs, one for 150, and one for 250, euros. Made by Columbia in Denmark, cover text is in English.
Pictures are my own photos of the items for sale. Photos are part of the description, have a good look.
Cover - not laminated, has 2 flip-backs. Front is very good, but with some marks like foxing - not noticeable unless you look from an angle, to see surface sheen. Several light finger-nail surface marks. Back is very sound, with some stains, and shows the shape of the label / centre of the record.
Record - labels are nice, see my pictures. Several spindle-marks on b-side label, just a couple on a-side label. Looks nice, but there are flaws to be found on close inspection. Side one has a light scratch on first half, plus another one, shorter and even lighter, nearby. There's a tiny white speck on the lead-in, and a tint, light impact 3/4 of the way in. A short very light scratch or fingernail mark, near the end. Side two - has a very light, narrow surface scuff across the whole side. There's a fingernail impact from the start of the music grooves, to half-way through first track. Also a light scratch also running in from the edge, to about 3/4 of the way across first track. I've been playing this - both sides have crackles at the start. Side one has crackles all through - generally background, sometimes a bit louder than that, not overpowering. Side two - track 1 has horns, crackles only heard in quiet parts. Track 2 has crackles a start, and after a while, just a once-per-rotation crackle. No skips, no sticking - doesn't ever sound like it wants to. Nice original sound, not worn-out. When I'm checking for damage on records, I look at them carefully with my reading glasses on, in good daylight. This method detects any bits of damage that will affect what you hear when listening to it - and lots that are not audible. Using a spotlight or direct sunlight shows more surfacey marks sometimes, but I don't do that - records are for listening to, not trying to see your face in.
Postage at cost within UK - £1.99. Happy to do combined postage wherever practical. I'll charge you what it costs me. For UK buyers - if you buy several items on the same day, and you're looking for combined postage, don't pay, and message me to ask for an invoice that includes combined postage.
Dispatch will usually be "next day", if you pay promptly. My auctions end on Sundays, and I post on Monday afternoon. I only go out to post once a week, during the present pandemic, so if I receive payment after 14.00 Monday, parcel goes into the next Monday's posting. Collection in person is usually welcome, but not when there are lockdown rules in effect, which forbid it.
I'm happy to send this overseas. See below for details, if bidding from outside UK - YOU NEED TO KNOW THIS STUFF.
I don't mail things personally, to countries outside the UK - ( I mean it, don't ask) - but I am happy to use E-Bay UK's Global Shipping Program, for sending things abroad. Under this scheme, I send the parcel to an e-bay depot in UK, and they forward it to the overseas buyer. They have a tracked courier service, for the journey from their UK depot, to the buyer. This means that I can ONLY accept payments through e-bay (Pay Now button), and I can't send invoices.
Please be sure that you understand what the postal charges and any customs charges / import duty will be, before bidding.
E-Bay UK tells me, they do NOT do combined postage in the Global Shipping Programme. Charges to the customer for delivery and customs charges are whatever you're told they are - if you don't want to pay the postal / courier charges individually for the items, then do not bid.
Overseas customers - please DON'T request an invoice - I can't make one, and it screws-up the e-bay system.
International buyers should be able to see a postage cost to their country, you may have to input your location, if your country is included in the scheme. If your country is not mentioned, please do not bid. International postage to the following countries will be shown (this is the latest list that I've seen - lotta countries!) Antigua and Barbuda, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Republic of, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Australia, United States, Bahrain, Canada, New Zealand, Israel, Hong Kong, Norway, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, Singapore, Korea, South, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Bangladesh, Belize, Bermuda, Barbados, Brunei Darussalam, Cayman Islands, Dominica, Egypt, Guernsey, Gibraltar, Guadeloupe, Grenada, French Guiana, Iceland, Jersey, Jordan, Cambodia, Saint Kitts-Nevis, Saint Lucia, Liechtenstein, Sri Lanka, Macau, Monaco, Maldives, Montserrat, Martinique, Oman, Pakistan, Reunion, Turks and Caicos Islands, Aruba, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, United Arab Emirates, Ukraine, Chile, Bahamas, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Honduras, Jamaica, Kuwait, Panama, Qatar, El Salvador, Trinidad and Tobago, Uruguay
Applicable customs charges will be shown to buyers - E-Bay collects customs duty for the receiving country, wherever import duty is appropriate. If you don't want to pay the customs charges, do not bid. Since "Brexit", customs charges are likely between UK and EU countries.
I don't send to China (because I prefer not to), and I also don't send to Japan, Brazil, Ecuador and Peru, as importation of vinyl records is not permitted in their customs regulations
