Misha Mengelberg (1935)  transcend them all, which proves there is still hope for a country where even jazz and improvised music often fall victim to Calvinist, dogmatic sectarianism. Mengelberg, co-founder of the Instant Composers Pool, which celebrated its 30th anniversary in 1997, is regarded as the guru of the Dutch avant-garde, which means that some people will revere him no matter what he does, and that others will condemn his work out of hand for being self-indulgent and inaccessible. Both sides would do well to put the rhetoric on hold once in a while and just listen to the man play,  As he does here on this ULTRARARE Private released LP.

This LP is a complete solo action with in his own style piano improvisations on the theme “Bad luck on the Road” In Dutch language PECH ONDERWEG.
