You are bidding for an incredibly rare 1st pressing of the Misfits Bullet EP. I bought two of these in NYC back in November of 1978 and stupidly (in retrospect) gave one of them as a Christmas present. Guaranteed Authentic. The first pressing's record was black vinyl and the back cover shows a picture of the band. The second pressing changed the vinyl to red and the back cover was altogther different. The sleeve is the gatefold variety and the lyric sheet is included. The record itself reads on side A: " Plan9 45 RPM Extended Play Stereo c & p static age music PL1001-A engineer dave achelis" and the songs are 1. BULLET and 2. WE ARE 138 The engraved etching on Side A reads: "SP-1001-A MISFITS RICH FLORES" Side B reads the same other than PL1001-B and the songs are 1. ATTITUDE and 2. HOLLYWOOD BABYLON and the engraved etchings read: "SP-1001-B MISFITS R.F." The back cover reads "Distributed by ORK" and I've enclosed a close-up of the lyric sheet focusing on the word "dirt" as opposed the the word "dint" in bootleg copies. The record itself is in near mint condition, as is the cover and the lyric sheet insert. Once again, I guarantee the above. The following is from misfitscentral.com: >>Bullet We Are 138 Attitude Hollywood Babylon Format:7" EP. Pressing:1st:Plan 9: PL1001 (June 1978) 1000 black vinyl copies in silk-screened gatefold sleeves with band photo and "Distributed by Ork" on back. Glenn experimented with the early sleeves by coloring the front yellow (from the car up) and then screen printing the art over it. Unlike other black vinyl copies, these sleeves were sealed instead of gatefold. Glenn decided not to use the sleeves, distributing only a few (5 to 15) to friends, and supposedly keeping the rest. There is also at least one copy with the John F. Kennedy wearing a blue jacket. 2nd:Plan 9: PL1001 (January 1979) 2000 red vinyl copies with "Better Dead On Red" and bullet hole artwork on back cover. 3rd:Contrary to legend, there was no true 3rd pressing. When the "Better Dead On Red" sleeves for the 2nd pressing came in, Glenn still had about 100 extra black vinyl 1st pressing copies without sleeves. He used the new sleeves on the extra vinyl, and then supposedly filled a large order from Tesco Vee at School Kids Records in Dearborn, MI. This explains the larger concentration of "third pressings" in this area of the US. The number 7000 first appeared for this "pressing" in the June 1986 Thrasher discography by Pushead, which Glenn has acknowledged as incorrect.<< I will only ship inside the Continental United States and I must insist that any buyer use Paypal and have a verified paypal address.
