Miles Davis with John Coltrane, Hank Mobley & Red Garland “Someday My Prince Will Come” 1961 first Pitman pressing Columbia Records 6-eye label (# CS 8456 stereo) in a cardboard sleeve. The record grading is Very Good Plus (VG+). Most of the album plays EX. On Side 1/track 3 at the very end there’s some audible crackle for ~20 seconds. On Side 2/track 3 there’s some underlying crackle on some of the song due to the softer nature of it, however the music rises above most of it and plays great. Visually, the surfaces are clean & glossy with only light superficial marks. The following is on the runout groove:
-
Side A): (stamped) XSM53315-1A
-
Side B): (stamped) XSM53316-1B
-
NOTES:
-
* A small inverted "P" stamped in the run-out areas, denotes this as a Pitman pressing variant of the original 6-eye release.
-
* Early pressing variant released on a '6-eye' label.
-
* The text layout used on the labels is different on this version, the title appears in three lines instead of two.
-
* Has the number "2" printed in the lower right corner of the back sleeve.
-
* The front cover is with the model having no top showing.
-
NOTE: This album will ship with the inner sleeve & record OUTSIDE of the cover as to prevent any possible seam damage to the cover during shipment. Both the album cover and the inner sleeve & vinyl will be contained within a plastic protective sleeve inside of the shipping box with padding on top & bottom
