Description

Legendary Blue Note 1501 - Miles Davis Volume 1. I have owned this record for a while now and it's time to let somebody else appreciate it - reluctantly! One of the finest Jazz LPs on the exquisite Blue note Records.

Vinyl (Visual)

The record retains a nice, bright sheen on both sides and lies perfectly flat. There is a visible, superficial scratch which is not feelable across side one and at the end of side 2 and Under light there are numerous light hairlines/scuffs, showing signs of many plays.


Vinyl (audio)

Play tested loudly (more than once) on my NAD turntable, the record sounds superb on both sides, the warm and distinctive Miles Davis sound bursts through the speakers clear and crisp. There is minor, audible crackle in between songs and in the very quietest moments, however this has very little detriment to the overall sound. There are no audible pops, clicks, hiss or jumps throughout side A or B - this record holds up amazingly well and plays like an EX cond vinyl.


Labels

The labels both sides are clean, clear and free from pen marks or other damage. Please see the photos for a better idea and visual guide.


Sleeve

The cardboard sleeve has age related wear and tear as most of these USA jackets do. There is noticeable foxing and some ringwear to the front, a name in pen to the rear. The spine and top are ok and intact, there is a split on the bottom seam around 5cm. Sleeve has never been taped and has no tears. Again please study the photos provided for a good visual guide.
