Description
Unbelievably hard to find “SEALED”, “deep-groove”, original 1st print / 1st pressing* of the masterpiece “Kind Of Blue”!!
Original “Misprint Cover” / Original “Misprint Side 2 Label”.
Cover is in “Excellent” condition—well preserved with no splits and is as shown. The record is unbelievably “still sealed” in it’s original perforated baggy. The record appears pristine inside, while the baggy looks to be totally intact on the outside.
- Matrix / Runout (Side A runout, stamped): XLP47324-1 BB TA I
- Matrix / Runout (Side B runout, stamped): XLP47325-1

This variant:
- Labels are 6-eye Columbia mono with "Made in U. S. A." printed at bottom rim.
- There is some conflicting information wether this was pressed at the Columbia Records Pressing Plant, Terre Haute, as denoted by the 'T' in the runout, or is a Bridgeport pressing
- Like all covers through the 1970s, the back cover incorrectly lists the track order as "Flamenco Sketches" (B1) and "All Blues" (B2).
- The B side label lists the tracks in the INCORRECT order: "Flamenco Sketches" (B1) followed by "All Blues" (B2).- This pressing has a large outer deep groove pressing ring.
- The back cover has a "6" printed at the lower right back corner, which denotes fabrication by Imperial Packing Co., Inc., Indianapolis IN.- *There is some conflicting information about wether this copy is from August of 59’, or from November of 59’—check out the LondonJazzCollector
