Description

Whoops! I have been corrected in my previous description/listing by several helpful e-mails I received about this record. Apparently these are late 1980's out-takes. This is a revised description with lowered price to reflect these corrections (and to acknowledge my naivety!).

I acquired this LP in NYC on a visit in the mid to late 1980s. Believe it or not, it was from a street vendor as I recall, and it was just dumped in with another load of records of uncertain origin and mediocre interest being sold on the street by some man who undoubtedly had no idea or concern for it's contents. I guess he needed money too! I will also state that there are no other copies made by me that have been made or passed around in any other format. I have scrupulously avoided reproduction, but it is time to sell it to someone else! I really need the $!!! By the way, I do not know who the "friends" are as refered to on the cover. There is no other text or insert or credits, etc.

Insured air delivery is included, so there is no other charge (by me) other than the price you bid, and I ship anywhere in the world. E-mails from previous buyers I have dealt with will certainly be answered, but I cannot guarantee I will respond to non-bidders or bidders I have not dealt with before.

Condition: The jacket has very minor spots showing some very minor shelf wear. The cover stock is coated/glossy, so I would think a careful cleaning would eliminate most of it. Some slight evidence also of some chaffed/rubbed spots on a few spots on the seams or corners. As far as a sonic grading, the overall engineering/recording is muted. Frequency range is truncated, so if you have a really expensive stereo, do not expect audiophile. It does appear to be in stereo for the main though, but I cannot guarantee for all. (By the way - do not expect Miles and Prince to be together on all tunes! Not many, in fact, but ....) There is a tiny bit of random noise, which I expect a thorough cleaning will almost eliminate. There is one spot/groove where there appears to be a bad master tape/edit that masquerades as a skip. It has not been played a lot by me, but a previous unknown owner may have. Doubt it though. Visually, the vinyl is real close to near mint. Some swirly visual patterns, some possible scuffing, some fingerprints at the edges, some other lines, but nothing I would call a scratch.
