UP FOR AUCTION IS A RARE ORIGINAL CANADIAN PRESSING OF MILES DAVIS + 19 - MILES AHEAD. IT WAS RELEASED IN 1957 ON COLUMBIA RECORDS, CL 1041. 

IT'S QUITE RARE TO FIND A 1ST CANADIAN PRESSING OF THIS REVOLUTIONARY ALBUM IN SUCH FINE CONDITION!

CONDITION:

THE RECORD IS IN EXCELLENT (EX) CONDITION WITH, AT MOST, SOME LIGHT SCUFFS VISIBLE ON THE PLAYING SURFACES. BOTH SIDES RETAIN FULL SURFACE GLOSS! INCREDIBLE SHAPE FOR A RECORD OF THIS AGE!

THE COVER IS IN VERY GOOD PLUS (VG+) CONDITION WITH VERY LIGHT WEAR THROUGHOUT EXCEPT FOR A SPLIT ALONG THE TOP EDGE APPROXIMATELY SIX INCHES LONG THAT IS TAPED (SEE IMAGES FOR DETAILS). THE FRONT COVER SLICK IS BRIGHT AND GLOSSY WITH MINIMAL WEAR AND THE WHITE BACK COVER WITH TEXT AND A SMALL IMAGE OF MILES DAVIS LOOKS GREAT WITH MINIMAL FADING AND BRIGHT, CLEAN TEXT. WITHOUT THE SPLIT ALONG THE TOP EDGE, THIS COVER WOULD EASILY GRADE EXCELLENT (EX) OR BETTER!

GRADING SCALE:

There is no Mint grade as it does not exist. Even a sealed record can have minor flaws!

Near mint (NM) - Record looks like it was just opened, unplayed. No visual or audible flaws.

Near mint minus (NM-) - Records is near perfect with maybe a very light scuff or two.

Excellent (EX) - Record is very nice and looks seldom played. There may be a few very light scuffs.

Little to no surface noise should be present on playback.

Very Good Plus (VG+) - Record is in pretty nice shape and should play with only light noise, mostly noticeable between tracks.

There may be some light scuffs and a few light surface scratches visible.

Very Good (VG) - Record has been well played.

It should play without skipping or sticking but with a significant amount of noise (hiss, pops, crackle, etc).

Good (G) - Record should play through but will more than likely have a high noise level.

Slight skips are acceptable. Visually the record will most likely have a lot of scuffs and surface marks.

Poor (P) - Record may not be playable. If so, there will mostly likely be a high noise level throughout.

Visually the record is obviously damaged, warped, very scratched or possibly cracked.
