Michael Jackson - E.T. Soundtrack - Original LP Box Set
You are bidding on an extremely rare vinyl box set of the E.T. Soundtrack and Audiobook. Narrated by Michael Jackson and produced by
Quincy Jones. Released on RCA Records in November 1982, the same month as Jackson's pop breakout album Thriller (1982) which brought legal action from Epic Records and forced the album to be withdrawn from the States. It had a short release in Europe, before being pulled. It was well received critically and earned Jackson a Grammy Award for Best Recording for Children.
The E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial album package contains a storybook, allowing listeners to read along with Jackson as he narrates the tale
of E.T. and his time on planet earth. The book contains a picture of E.T. placing his hands on Jackson's shoulders, with one of his fingers
illuminating. The picture is further included as a large full-color poster within the package. Which was an iconic poster in the early
80's and today is still in high demand. Within the 20-page storybook are stills from the movie and the lyrics to the song "Someone in the
Dark". The album recording features sound effects from the accompanying movie, as well as the voice of E.T. in the background.
This original box set/package is semi-sealed with the top and side cut open. Promo cut on the side of the box. Vinyl, book, poster is all in mint condition. This is a must own package for any Michael Jackson fan or collector.
Don't miss out, the poster is worth the price alone, bid today!
