Description

Released in 1969 on Harvest (SHVL 765), this album was Chapman’s first and reveals his early promise through the magical combination of evocative lyrics, bitter-sweet vocals and his unique guitar playing that (even without overdubs) sounds like two exceptional guitarists playing at once! The credits are littered with interesting names: it was produced by Gus Dudgeon and the musicians include Rick Kemp, Clem Clempson, Aynsley Dunbar and Danny Thompson.

This is a first pressing of this album and is offered in very good overall condition.

The vinyl is excellent with some surface scratches that do not affect playing – apart from very few pops and crackles. The labels are both unmarked.

The sleeve is very good. It has some burring along the opening edge and there are signs of small creases (about 1cm) along the spine. There is a crease on the back cover (about 18cm) – see photo.

All records are cleaned on my Moth Record Cleaning Machine MKIIPRO and are despatched in Nagaoka antic-static inner sleeves. Records are packed in strong cardboard mailers with two corrugated stiffeners. Packages are marked FRAGILE and insurance can be provided on request.
