Description
Hard-to-find self-titled LP from Mandragora released by Pren (EVS-83) in 1983. Utterly rare private pressing from Mexico that does not turn up very often. Album cover photos give no indication of what lies within these grooves. There a 7 extended tracks of instrumental progressive rock with fusion leanings featuring synthesizer and fuzz-guitar leads throughout. Recording has a budget quality as far as editing goes but this is not a problem as there are plenty of moments of brilliance. Side (Lado) 1 has a couple of attempts at funk-fusion while Side (Lado) 2 shows more of a Latin flavor to the jams. Nice keyboard and guitar trade-offs. A real surprising discovery!! Good luck finding this one again!

Labels are in EXCELLENT condition. Vinyl record is in VG++/EXCELLENT condition with nice glossy shine, some very light hairline marks and a light storage warp that has no affect. Plays with some vinyl crackle at beginning of sides but settles down as vinyl plays on with sporadic surface tics...sounds great! Cover is in VG++/EXCELLENT condition with slight wear at corners, minimal edgewear, surface wear on backside and there is a small paper split at center of top edge. NO RESERVE. Winner pays $4.00 media mail in the U.S. Priority mail and insurance are available at buyers expense.
