Some of you may know me as I have been a fan and collector for 25 years now (Steve Gill) but with a growing family and an aspiration to own my own home again I am selling off some of my collection. I am listing what I am prepared to currently sell. If its not listed then sadly right now its not for sale or I don’t own that item anymore. If you believe an item is ‘highly’ priced please read below as I am mainly selling incredibly high condition Metallica items and sell to collectors who only want the very best condition items within their collection.
Wow so here is a Kill ‘Em All MFN7 French Pressing with Beige labels that has been signed by Cliff Burton! The Record and the signed inner sleeve are included in the sale. NOT the outer sleeve. The outer sleeve was signed as well and I am not selling that. Just before Metallica played the legendary Donington Monsters Of Rock concert for the very first time they did a record signing at the now defunct Shades Records in London. If you know me then you will be aware of some of the pieces I have from that session. I know 2 people who were at the session and had stuff signed. Both were young at the time and Cliff was super friendly towards them both (They did not know each other and I have had the same story told about Cliff) He even offered them a beer! I have had the pleasure of spending time with Ray Burton, Cliffs father and I told him about this and his reply was that ‘yes that was Cliff! He was always a kind hearted boy growing up. He liked to break the rules!’ So when Cliff was signing the sleeve of this record the inner (and record) came out and as he was pushing it back in, he asked (He asked!) if he could sign the inner also. He asked if they guy was going to Donington, He was. He said they were going to play Seek for sure at the festival so signed against that track saying that he loved to play that live. In my opinion its a great Cliff signature, bold and a decent size. I own 3 Cliff signatures, all of which were acquired at Shades. This signature is one of the 3. I only ever acquire signed items from people who were actually there that I know REALLY well. This is 100% the real deal. Sure you might want a complete set on an album cover but this signature is genuine, 100% genuine. If you know me then you will also have absolute faith as you know how diligent I am with things like this!!
All of my Cassettes, CD’s, and Vinyl are stored in a specially designed shelving unit out of direct sunlight. Any handling is very minimal. Many of these Cassettes, CD’s & Vinyl have been owned by me since new! My collection is kept at a constant temperature inside my house irrespective of season.
