Description

Very nice copy of Messiaen's Méditations sur le mystère de la Sainte Trinité, double LP in slipcase. This is the 1972 French recording, with Messiaen on organ, at his long-time home, L'Eglise de la Trinité in Paris.

Everything in very good condition and plays well. Conservatively I'd say the records are EX; no visible marks, very clean to the eye, and they play flawlessly. One of the record slips has a small split down on edge, but otherwise they're uncreased and clean. The slip case has very little shelfware and almost no visible fading from light exposure - it's also a lovely piece of design. The set comes with a leaflet with two essays by Messiaen himself, with English translations.

Excellent copy of a relatively scarce recording of one of the twenthieth century's great sacred composers.
