OK Metal Maniacs...here's another one from The Old Oak 9's metal vault! This auction is for the INSANELY RARE Mercyful Fate...White Border... Mini LP! You know the deal...the "white border" says it all! EXTREMELY HARD TO FIND, this heavy metal vinyl "gem" is for the "true" Mercyful Fate / King Diamond collector. The white border on the cover means that this was the very FIRST pressing of this "ungodly"...in more ways than one...awesome mini album. If you're looking at this auction, you already know about the band and the music. However, the cover is the "real deal" here! Overall...considering this albums age (released in 1982) and its scarcity...it's a very nice piece! There is some slight wear at the corners and there are a few minor creases, but there are no cracks on any of the edges and the spine is in tact. There is a scuff mark on the front near the opening (on the white border) but it doesn't even reach into the drawing. On the back, there is a small stain (about the size of a nickle) to the left of Michael's picture (again, by the opening), but it is very slight and hardly noticable. The record itself does show signs of use. There are some scuff marks on the vinyl surface, but on my turntable, the record plays through without skipping. But again, with this release...it's the cover! This album is a "real" collector's item and you'll probably have to search for some time to find one in much better shape. Don't forget to check out my other Mercyful Fate / King Diamond auctions!
