(YES, the price is steep – please read the following and why that is)
This is an incredibly rare FIRST PRESSING Rave-On Records ed. Fate’s ‘Nuns Have No Fun’ 4-song EP. Only the limited first pressing had a white border. Supposedly the band hated it, additional white border copies were apparently yanked and the cover was revised for subsequent copies.
This copy (bought by me in the SF Bay Area 1983) was SIGNED by EVERY member of the ‘classic’ line up; King Diamond, Michael Denner, Kim Ruzz, Timi Grabber and Hank Shermann.
I am the original owner and the one who got the autographs. The band signed the album at an appearance at San Francisco’s legendary Record Vault in October 1984, while on its first tour of the U.S.
The record was played and enjoyed a lot over the following years!!But virtually no play in the past 20+ years. So, the surface does have some pops and clicks and typical surface noise (but C’MON that’s not why you want this). The cover does have some wear and tear, see pix for details. There is one small tear on the back cover (see photo). But noting that significant in my opinion. The front cover is in very nice condition, and all of the autographs are clear and unfaded. It’s remained safely housed along with the cover AND lyric sheet in a thick plastic sleeve.
PRICING: 1st pressing, white border UNSIGNED vinyl editions of NHNF have sold for hundreds of dollars on Discogs and elsewhere. It’s believed only about 400 copies could be in the hands of collectors. There is one copy selling now on Discogs w/ an undated autographed lyric sheet for appx $1400.00. The cover is unsigned. It is of course unknown how many of THOSE could be signed by the OG lineup but obviously it’s incredibly rare indeed.
