Description
(The) Melvins & Amphetamine Reptile Records are revisiting the 1997 release of Honky. The upcoming LP record will be a reissue of the CD version of the album (minus the 25 minutes of silence at the end of In the Freaktose) with crazy new vinyl color combos & artwork by HAZE XXL.
What we have up for auction is TEST PRESSING #1from an edition of 5. Each sleeve is handmade by HAZE with rolled ink, linoleum block prints both glued & directly printed onto the tan cardstock sleeve, spot varnishing & writing in 2 colors of pencil. The photos don't do it justice & can't capture all the textures or black on black printing on it. The record itself is solid black vinyl with the words "SIDE A" printed at the factory & "MELVINS HONKY TP 1/5" written in gold Sharpie by HAZE. The B-side label is blank with nothing on it.
Everything about this Test Pressing screams "one-of-a-kind" & once you get it in your hands, you can tell right away that there isn't a chance this was made at a factory. The artwork on these Test Pressings don't look anything the final sleeve design of the upcoming commercial Honky release & is completely unique.
