I bought this box set only for the express reason of recording it. I did not use my VPI 16.5 RCM for these albums but the LPs were cleaned with LAST Power Cleaner, which is what I've used for nearly 40 years and found to be the best cleaning solution for new, unplayed albums. Played only one time, the recording came out very nicely and now I am selling the box. Only the shrink wrap at the end of the box was opened to access the LP's. If you look at the bottom of each sleeve in the pictures, there is slight wear due to the LP riding on the bottom of the sleeve. This is how they arrived in sealed condition, which I find to not be uncommon even with new albums, so I wanted to point your attention to this. All said, the LP's have been play tested and verified as flat, noise-free, and now with validated pristine playing surfaces.
Though I have thousands of LPs, I'm not a "record collector" as in a business way. I'm a musician and lover of music, therefore I do not read or practice Goldmine type standards or care about them. For me a used LP is either worthy or not based on what I can see. As far as new sealed LP's, sometimes they are fine and sometimes they are noisy, warped, bad labels, etc. In my 40+ years of actively buying new and used LP's, this is the world of records so therefore look at the pictures and perhaps feel comfortable knowing these LP's have been inspected, cleaned and play tested, and that's the subjective description I can provide.
You will notice pictures of the Adele 21 LP. I am not a fan and I'm not going to try to sell it but would rather include it as a bonus album. A friend gave it to me after they recorded it and I, listened to some of it... :-) If you are not a fan or already have it, perhaps you know someone that would enjoy it. It is in very good condition both the LP and cover.
