Description
This is an auction for an extremely rare LP by The Beatles titled (MEET THE BEATLES) on Capitol-ST-2047.
In the trail-off it is STAMPED:ST-1-2047B2 with a triangle. Side 2 trail-off reads: ST 2-2047-A1
This is one of the very hard to find stereo 1st. pressings with the Scranton, PA address and the # 3 near the RIAA symbol on the back of the cover.
This is also the rare LP that" DOES NOT" have ASCAP OR BMI on either label after the song title and time!
A true classic and sought after Beatle piece of history.
I have searched and have not found any around.
There were some on a site that buys and sells Beatle items and they were going for BIG $$.
This LP is in VG condition. It does have some light scuffs and some light blemishes. I have played it and there are no skips, just some little pops on side 2 next to the last song.
Rainbow labels. Some writing in ink on one side. Not too bad at all.
It still retains it's gloss too!
The cover is not in good condition. It has taped seams all around, but the front and back are ok. Cover photo is clear and so is the back.
No mention of George Martin anywhere!
ALSO: on the bottom back of the cover it states:THIS RECORD SHOULD BE PLAYED ONLY WITH A STEREO CARTRIDGE AND NEEDLE TO AVOID DAMAGE.
A must have for the true Beatle collector. Try to find one of these lately?
There is a reserve on this one because of it's rarity and now popularity.
