McWoner – ‘No Fire It’ / ‘Version’ – Well Charge (JA)

Very rare Channel One roots reggae. This is the second pressing from, I think, the early or mid eighties. Killer tune; sadly, this copy is not perfect. Starting this low; a chance to obtain a rare tune at a good price. Read on.

Condition: Visually, this record appears unplayed. There are, however, marks that cause a couple of clicks. About a dozen of them, in fact, starting at around 1’58”, and they are quite loud. Curiously the version side has the same problem, i.e., about a dozen clicks starting at circa 1’55”. The problem would appear to be a damaged stamper; I have another copy (also mint-looking), which has the exact same fault. Please listen to the clips (complete tracks are offered) and judge for yourself just how disturbing you find this defect. Starting this very low in any case.
