This paperbound book is the incredibly hard to find and out of print fourth volume in the MacLean-Joynson regional US Rock History series. Joynson is the same author who produced the classic “Fuzz Acid and Flowers” and “Tapestry of Dreams” reference books that are essential to any garage or psychedelic music collector. A detailed study of artists and groups with album discographies, band personnel details and, in most cases, some comment about the artists and their music. Rock, pop, jazzrock, country rock, folk rock, punk, new wave, garage, psychedelic, heavy metal, new country, all are covered. Includes discographies and histories of over 950 bands and artists ranging from the classic Iowa garage band “We Who Are” to the early Deke Dickerson Missouri group “Untamed Youth”. This is the only place to find information on many obscure local bands and artists of the 50s, 60s & early 70s from these states. Published in England and still in like new condition.
