We’re having a bit of a clearout of stuff at home so I’ve put my usual eBay sales of art and ephemera mostly to one side for a few weeks. I’ve got a large personal collection of vinyl, lots of which I don’t play any more, so one of the things I will be selling is records. Max Romeo is most well known – at least in he was in my youth – for the 1969 single, Wet Dream, which seemed profoundly shocking at the time and remains by far his biggest hit. He has however released scores of singles and albums in Jamaica, the USA and the UK. Much of his output over the years has been overtly political or spiritual so Wet Dream is not exactly the most representative example of his work. He is still performing and recording to the present day.
This is a very nice copy of the scarce UK release of Fish In A Pot, from 1970. It is in fine condition with only the very lightest of surface marks. It plays perfectly on both sides. You can see from the images above that the labels are in excellent condition. The record comes in a new white sleeve.
