Description

Up for auction is one of, if not the greatest protest record of all time. Max Roach's "WE INSIST! Freedom Now Suite" on Candid Records (Stereo 9002). The album play graded at a very strong VG+, with just a hint of background noise, no pops or repeating clicks. The jacket is VG as far as the graphics are concerned, however the spine is almost completely split and the bottom seam is split about 50%. A previous owners name is written on the back (small) and the recording date is circled in ballpoint pen.

The amazing line-up includes Abbey Lincoln, Coleman Hawkins, Booker Little, Julian Priester and Michael Olatunji.

Cleaned on a VPI record cleaner prior to play grading. The LP will be shipped outside of the cover in a poly-lined sleeve to prevent any further seam splitting in transit.

Truly an amazing piece of jazz and American history. No Joke. Bid, Win and Learn.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING WILL BE CALCULATED (FAIRLY) AT THE CONCLUSION OF THE AUCTION
