How it plays: The vinyls themselves are in great order. The whole package is near mint in terms of how it sounds, however record one has clearly been played a few more times, so is probably closer to VG+. I picked this up second hand a few years ago (after playing my original copy to death), and the seller tells me most of the other five 12s have never been played. You can tell, they sound brand new.
How it looks: No discernible warping on any of the vinyls. They look great as a multicoloured collectors piece. The aforementioned plays on disc 1 show. A few light scuffs and you can see the sleeve has been pulled in and out of the box. The rest of the sleeves are great, although a few of the paper sleeves have the disc number of the records written on in pencil. The outer box is still solid with very minimal wear. Just a touch of storage dirt from down the years.
Grading: Vinyl: Disc 1 VG+, Discs 2-6 NM, Sleeve/Box VG+.
Note, I use the Discogs grading system. The main tracks on all used vinyl are ‘play graded’ on a Technics SL1200 that has been recently serviced/refreshed by Mastersounds UK, using a new Ortofon needle.
