IT IS WITH MUCH PRIDE,THAT MASTER'S APPRENTICES self titled LP on SUMMIT records SRA 250-524,is available for Auction,in near mint condition, with both vinyl and cover sure to delight the winning bidder.
Here in beautiful Adelaide,we grow very good grapes,our girls have very long legs ,our farmers know that each good year has 3 or 4 drought years to square off and if you want International travel, yes, we'll build you an INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT. Whatelse do we do over here (or down here for most of you)?
I'm not sure why, but we are only very small in number, but we seem to love music. (Perhaps it all the substances we consume, that seem to make the music sound better!!). We also have been blessed with connections to great bands like AC/DC, The Twilights,Master's Apprentices,Fraternity,Screaming Believers,Exploding White Mice,Buffalo,Jimmy Barnes & Cold Chisel,Raving Mad Bruce and the Hubcaps and the likes.
The Hubcaps don't get much air time, but the Masters are a household name in every good Rockin' household, the world over, and I've often wondered why their records bring such high prices.
Their very first LP might explain why (do we only ever get one chance in life, because if yes,Brian,Jim,Michael,Gavin,Doug,Tony,steve,Roger,Rick and all the other support people connected with this great Oz band, who started here in sleepy old Adelaide, (and as an aside, the local pub is owned by Brian Vaughton's brother and I met a chap, just lately, who does charity work with Mick Bower, so its a band very special to us local Adelaidites), took that one chance, and rammed it right on home!!!!
The band was gutsy enough to take on the Beatles "I Feel Fine" and give it a progressive touch up (with absolutely no harm done!!), as well as their tribute to Bo Diddley on "Dancing Girl" , which has dear old Bo well and truly covered and to attempt a cover version of "My Girl" takes more than just guts, when you have a flair for Psych,Rock and Prog (but thay do it well!). The only track that to me is lame, is their take on " Johnny B Goode" and I'm a tad bias, because Chuck is king and apart from the Stones, The Beatles ,Buffalo and perhaps a few others, Chuck will never be bettered,doing his own material and by heck, did he ever write some mean tunes!!!!
Anhyow, enough of my dribble, (and one last commentary, How good is Buried and Dead and Undecided, as original material!!??)
This item will truly delight the winning bidder, with fantastic audio quality and near mint cover and vinyl.Also, keep in mind that this is the very first Master's Apprentices LP,but it is the second print issue. The more highly collectable first print has a Purple edging.
