Description

An amazing and important collection from Curt Sachs' Ethnic Folkways Library (later acquired by and now operated by the Smithsonian Institution). A box set that became a source for scholars, students, musicians and artists. Front cover shows a New Hebrides slit drum head from what was then known as the Museum of Primitive Art in New York.
