A copy of Forrest J. Ackerman’s MUSIC FOR ROBOTS personally autographed by Forrest J. Ackerman to Academy Award-winning director/producer GEORGE PAL  This item is 100% original and comes directly from the George Pal Estate. It is 100% authentic and I will stake my reputation on its authenticity.

Forrest J. Ackerman wrote the following inscription to Pal: “May the clank of metallic cogs be music to your ears, George, when The Last Revolution takes over at the box office. Robot Model 4SJ from the Ackerman Factory.” This inscription refers to THE LAST REVOLUTION, an adaptation of Lord Dunsany’s science fiction novel about a revolt of robots, which Pal intended to film from a screenplay by Rod Serling. This would put the date of the signature around 1968. This record is from George Pal’s personal record collection  The last person who played it was almost certainly Pal himself

CONDITION: Jacket- Good. I would grade it as Very Good, but there is a large smudge in the middle of the back cover (See photo). Some wear on the corners of the spine. Cover shows some ring wear (See photo). Spine looks good. LP- Good+. Almost Very Good. Shows some mild wear and a few scuffs– usual signs of having been played. Vinyl is fairly shiny.

GEORGE PAL (1908-1980) was the Academy Award-winning producer/director of such science fiction and fantasy classics as DESTINATION MOON, WHEN WORLDS COLLIDE, THE WAR OF THE WORLDS, THE TIME MACHINE, and 7 FACES OF DR. LAO. DOC SAVAGE, THE MAN OF BRONZE was his final film.
