MURPHY & THE MOB-45-“Born Loser” b/w “Because You Love Me”-Talisman Records #1823-MONSTER & HOLY GRAIL 1966 Tyler TEXAS Garage-Punk. No need to describe-you all know this (A side) from Tim’s BACK FROM THE GRAVE series as well as from several other comps. Intense, really. B side is KillerKool too-almost as deadly as the A side--a great punker-guitar dominated with a DRIVING, break-neck early Kinks-like rhythm guitar lead break-great vocals, great 2-sider. ONE OF THE BEST. Super Scarce.
Condition: Record is hard to grade, I’d say roughly around a close to G+; or maybe slightly better-- has moderate to somewhat heavy wear, surface scuffs, some light scratches, mostly visible in certain light angles, no serious scratches-plays fine with some background noise evident at times, but mostly covered by loud content (the non-stop tambourine in particular on “Born Loser”), B side it is more evident, but not at all bad.
Label has some wear (both sides) the number ‘20’ on A side written in pencil or black crayon (see photo)
