Ladies and Gentlemen, you are looking at the HEART & SOUL of Urban Blues. This is the spring-source of every single pattern and idea known to modern blues. Muddy Waters not only single-handedly invented (or midwived) the entire Chicago Blues genre, he also patented every single template known in Blues since the mid-40's. We proudly present here Muddy Waters's 1990 BOX SET - the legendary blues master's FIRST, LAST AND ONLY CAREER-SPANNING, comprehensive anthology. This glorious box set has been out of print on vinyl since the Mississippi River started flowing (or so), and this may be one of the last chances to grab it.

·                               CONDITION:

·                               RECORD

(IMPORTANT NOTE: unless otherwise noted, ALL records are graded visually, and NOT play-graded!; we grade records under the strong, diffuse room light or discrete sunlight)

(a)            WE GRADE THE VINYL AS NEAR MINT. Some VERY LIGHT AND SUPERFICIAL abrasions – mostly sleeve scuffs - are (barely) visible, but are probably inaudible, and do not affect visual integrity or beauty of the vinyl. The original luster is very much intact, and the vinyl shines and sparkles almost like new.

(b)            The album comes with the original booklet still intact.

(c)             The records are STILL in their original poly-lined stock inner sleeves, which have - apparently with success - shielded the vinyl from the harmful impact of elements over many years!

·       COVER (box)

THE BOX IS NICE --- ABOUT VERY GOOD++ (VG++).

The following flaws or imperfections are noted on the cover:

-         The box has a cutout saw-mark (an indent about 2 cm long) on one of its seams.

-         The box has two (2) corners separated (split) [note: there are NO split corners on the tray; only on the lid of the box]

-         The box has one (1) corner bumped / dented.

-         Cover has some light ring wear (nothing significant); On the scale from 1 to 10 (1 being the least, and 10 being the most severe), we assess the severity of ring wear as 2.

NO OTHER IMPERFECTIONS ON THE COVER:

-         No cut-out (drill) holes.

-         No cut-out corners

-         No dirt/dust rubbing stains (friction marks caused by rubbing against other covers)

-         No wrinkles or creases

-         No yellowing from aging

-         No writing

-         No stamps

-         No peel-off marks

-         No stains

-         No mold or mildew spots

-         No stickers or labels

-         No water damage

-         No razor marks, scratches, pressure marks, lines, streaks, or cuts.

-         No warping

-         No wax, glue, paint or liquid drops on the cover

-         No glue traces or wax residue.

-         No RIAA stamps or stickers.
