Ladies and Gentlemen, you are looking at the HEART & SOUL of  Urban Blues. This is the spring-source of every single pattern and idea known to modern blues. Muddy Waters not only single-handedly invented (or midwived) the entire Chicago Blues genre, he also patented every single template known in Blues since the mid-40's. We proudly present here Muddy Waters's  1990 BOX SET - the legendary blues master's  FIRST, LAST AND ONLY CAREER-SPANNING, comprehensive anthology. This glorious 6-LP box set has been out of print on vinyl since the Mississippi River started flowing (or so),  and this may be one of the last chances to grab it.

The PROMOTIONAL, RADIO STATION-, AUDITION OR DEMONSTRATION COPIES AND RELEASES (such as the one we have here) were often distributed among the radio stations before the record was released to the public, sometimes as much as four months ahead. These records are generally considered to be the "first among equals", which is to say the VERY FIRST generation and the VERY FIRST pressings of the particular title; a PROTOTYPE and the earliest known official pressing of the record.

(a)          THE VINYL IS ABSOLUTELY, PERFECTLY MINT,  as if never played before. The original luster is totally intact, and the vinyl shines and sparkles like brand new. The labels look perfect, simply gorgeous, with absolutely no trace of wear around the spindle hole. The record is TOTAL PERFECTION - ABSOLUTE VISUAL NIRVANA! We are confident that, in this condition, the record we present here is truly once-in-a-lifetime find.

(b)          The album comes with the original booklet still intact.

(c)             The records come in their poly-lined stock inner sleeves, which has - apparently with success - shielded the vinyl from the harmful impact of elements over many years!

(d)            The records are pressed on a RELATIVELY  thick, inflexible vinyl. This is NOT a thin, flimsy ('dynaflex' type),  vinyl, but not the thickest, most rigid vinyl, either.

(e)           The records are STILL in their original poly-lined stock inner sleeves, which have - apparently with success - shielded the vinyl from the harmful impact of elements over many years!

THE COVER IS NICE --- ABOUT EXCELLENT OR VERY GOOD+++.

The following flaws or imperfections are noted on the cover:

-        Minor powdery stain noted on front panel (less than 2 square inch in size)

-         Cover shows JUST A HINT of yellowing on both sides, apparently from aging (nothing significant).

-         Cover has JUST A HINT of ring wear (nothing significant); On the scale from 1 to 10 (1 being the least, and  10 being the most severe), we assess the severity of ring wear as 1.

-         Minor shelf wear noted on the seams (nothing significant)

NO OTHER IMPERFECTIONS ON THE COVER:

-        No split seams

-        No cut-out (drill) holes.

-        No cut-out corners

-        No saw-marks or indents

-        No dirt/dust rubbing stains (friction marks caused by rubbing against other covers)

-        No wrinkles or creases

-        No writing

-        No stamps

-        No tearing: no chips, dents or nicks on the seams

-        No peel-off marks

-        No mold or mildew spots

-        No stickers or labels

-        No water damage

-        No razor marks, scratches, pressure marks, lines, streaks, or  cuts.

-        No warping

-        No wax, glue, paint or liquid drops on the cover

-        No glue traces or wax residue.

-        No bar codes

-        No RIAA stamps or stickers.
