Background -
No, this is not a chain of dubious motels where you have to pay for your room on time. Qualité Motel is rather the new 100% electronic parallel project of the 5 members of Misteur Valaire (known from 2004 to 2016 Misteur Valaire, is a music group with electro-jazz influences - hip-hop - rock and sound extracts from Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada). The minimalist formula trades the heavy electro-acoustic equipment of the group to put them to table before a panoply of simple sound machines, like a delicious international buffet. On the menu: rhythm machine and synthesizers of the years mix and remind you that your body can move in an unsuspected way.Qualité Motel (QM pour les intimes) launched its first album, entitled Motel Califorña, on April 2, 2012. For this first opus, the band gathers a list of guests just as effective as surprising. Stefie Shock, Mitsou, Grand Analog (Toronto), Socalled, Yann Perreau, Pintandwefall (Helsinki, Finland), James Di Salvio, Mrs. Paintbrush (Pittsburgh, USA), Caracol, Elisapie Isaac, bbq, Fanny Bloom, Amelie Glenn and Usetowork. These renowned collaborators raise the incendiary beats of QM to the rank of true "tubes". Even though this dance project is an unpretentious hobby for its members, they still deliver a powerful sound and a festive performance, both on the big dance floors and in the smaller room of motel ceiling- of-stucco-carpet-hair-angora-carpet motel room.

The first album of Qualité Motel, entitled Motel Califorña, was released 2 April 2012. The band has a long list of guests, including Stefie Shock, Mitsou, Grand Analog, Socalled, Yann Perreau, Pintandwefall, James Di Salvio (from Bran van 3000 ), Mrs.Paintbrush, Karim Ouellet, Caracol, Elisapie Isaac, Blessed bbq and Fanny Bloom (from La Patère Rose).
