Private, USA, 1985?

INCREDIBLY I only found this mid eighties private press in the last couple of years - despite religiously collecting these kind of records for over three decades. I'd never heard/seen this one before - managed to get two copies.

Interestingly the cover is somewhat deceiving as I imagined the musical content to be pretty standard melodic party rock but flipping it over the photo of the band is pretty tame. I guess the other mindblowing thing is I thought it was a totally unknown album from Canadian hard rock unit Moxy... sadly it isn't. This lot are from Spokane, Washington and rather than full-on hard rock are actually very low key. Indeed, I would say that over half of this album is firmly rooted in the soft rock world with intricate songs and a sort of standard bar-band vibe but thgere are some great proggy tracks with guitar and keyboards.

One of the rarer mid eighties privates and like I said virtually unknown - never seen a copy on eBay and I've been watching for a copy of this one for several years now.
