Description
This is a reasonably priced original 1966 U.S. Wand Records 45 RPM record with its original Wand Records stock company sleeve containing the garage classic titled '99th Floor' backed with 'What Are You Going to Do' from legendary Texas garage band The Moving Sidewalks, with future ZZ Top guitarist Billy Gibbons. It is Wand Records catalog number WND 1156. Visually this record appears a bit rough, but it is one of those records which plays a lot better than it looks - Visual condition of record is a low VG with a good amount of surface marks and scuffs which cannot be felt and and two or three small and light surface scratches which can be felt, none of which seem to affect play - Record plays through surprisingly nicely at a high VG+ level with a minimal amount of light surface noise, no distracting ticks and no skips. A-side label has the name of a previous owner written in purple ink, some wear around the center hole, a little staining, and some contact wear as can be seen in my accompanying image. Condition of Wand Records stock company sleeve is a mid VG+ with a little fraying along the top edge, some slight wrinkles as can be seen in the accompanying image, and a little wear along the edges and on the corners. This classic and historic 45 would be a nice addition to any 1960s garage record collection!
