Description

MOUTH OF THE RAT FANZINE #15

featuring: THE STIMULATORS, THE CIGARETTES, THE EAT, UXA, SIOUXSIE AND THE BANSHEES plus more

Info:  Here is the holy grail for collectors of rare Miami, Florida punk...  This is an original MOUTH OF THE RAT fanzine from 1980.  Printed on news print.  This is the fanzine that the South Florida punk scene of the late 70's and early 80's was centered around.  Great local coverage of great bands like THE EAT, CICHLIDS, REACTIONS, CHARLEY PICKETT plus a great interview with unseen photo's of NYC kbd punk legends THE STIMULATORS featuring a young Harley Flanagan who would go on to form The CRO-MAGS.  Also features a pull out centerfold of Siouxsie Sioux.  MOUTH OF THE RAT would later relocate to New York City and become RAT CAGE RECORDS the influential record store and later label that would go on to release BEASTIE BOYS, AGNOSTIC FRONT and more.  Co writer Mir did the iconic artwork for the debut LP by the BAD BRAINS that featured the Capitol getting struck by lightning.

Condition:  good with some aging and small tears

I will be selling a HUGE collection rare powerpop, kbd punk, rare metal, synth minimalist new wave, post punk, and old school hardcore punk, almost all between 1976 and 1986.  I specialize in the obscure and hard to find bands on their own private labels. Check out my other auctions to find more rare 45's and LP's as items change weekly.
