MOUNTAIN BUS 'Sundance' LP (Spain, Out-Sider Records, Catalogue #OSR014) Brand new/unplayed copy of Out-Sider Records label edition of RARE 1971 "WEST COAST"/GRATEFUL DEAD-STYLE (think of that band's musical terrain crossing "Aoxomoxoa" through "American Beauty") masterpiece LP by Chicago, Illinois band Mountain Bus. There can be no doubt that the members of Mountain Bus were great fans of the Grateful Dead (and I can't imagine any serious Grateful Dead fan not enjoying this album), but Mountain Bus are certainly no copyists and deliver a remarkably superb front-to-back album featuring great songs and their own distinct musical signature. One of the absolute top classics of this style in the early '70s American rock underground.

"One of the most well-liked albums in the post-Workingman's Dead westcoast rural rock style. Jammy and loose, but well-played. The vocals are in the Grateful Dead school but a little more palatable to these ears. In the mid-to-late '70s this type of jam bands would be everywhere, but in 1971 it was less common.
