Original Italian copy of the ultrarare second album by MOTOWNS, issued on Cinevox label. Rated as a 4-star rarity on Hans Pokora's books.
This was an English group from Liverpool, which came to Italy during the beat boom and stayed here, producing some hit singles and two albums, mostly sung in Italian and only released in this country.
This is their latest work, an ambitious LP full of psychedelic and progressive rock, much different from their earlier production. The closing track, the long A trip around the world is a good example of this change of style. All the songs on the LP are sung in English.
The album went totally unnoticed, some say it never had a commercial release, and the band broke up.  Only few copies appear from time to time and all of them seem to be promotional with white labels.

The thin single cover has some wear, as you can see in the picture below, and the dark traces of a round sticker in the top right corner. No split seams or writings.
The vinyl appears to be very little played. On audio test it plays well with light surface noise.

The record has been fully tested with a Shure V15 Type III at 1.5 gr.

Copia originale italiana del rarissimo secondo LP dei MOTOWNS, stampato dalla Cinevox Records. Valutato con 4 stelle nei libri di Hans Pokora.
I Motowns erano un gruppo di Liverpool arrivato in Italia durante gli anni del beat e rimasto qui, che produsse alcuni 45 giri di successo e due soli LP usciti solo nel nostro paese.
Questo è il loro ultimo lavoro, il più ambizioso, con sonorità tra il psichedelico ed il progressivo molto diverse dalla loro produzione precedente. La lunga "A trip around the world", brano conclusivo dell'album, è un ottimo esempio del loro cambiamento di stile. Tutte le canzoni dell'album sono cantate in inglese.
L'album passò totalmente inosservato, secondo qualcuno non è mai uscito in vendita, e il gruppo si sciolse. Solo poche copie del disco sono state messe in vendita finora, e tutte hanno l'etichetta bianca promozionale.

La sottile copertina non apribile ha dei segni di usura, visibili dalle foto qui sotto, e il segno scuro di un adesivo nell'angolo in alto a destra. Non ci sono strappi laterali né scritte.
Il vinile sembra essere stato suonato pochissimo. All'ascolto suona bene, con rumore di fondo leggero.

Il disco è stato interamente ascoltato e testato con una puntina Shure V15 Type III del peso di 1,5 gr.
