Motionless in White is a gothic metalcore band from Scranton, Pennsylvania, formed in 2005. They are known for blending industrial and horror-inspired elements with theatrical visuals and dark imagery in their performances. Shortly after forming, the band independently released a demo, followed by their debut EP The Whorror in 2007, which helped build a local following and define their early sound. Over the years, their music has incorporated more melodic, industrial, and electronic elements while retaining their gothic metalcore roots, making them a significant influence on contemporary gothic and industrial-tinged metalcore acts. Their name is taken from the Eighteen Visions song 'Motionless and White,' reflecting early influences on their style.
" Of the three MIW albums I own including Creatures and Infamous, this one is my favorite. I don't usually listen to Metalcore, so kudos to them for making music that holds my interest. Reincarnate has a good mix of clean vs. screamed vocals, and stylistically builds off of their previous album Infamous. Many of the songs have taken a darker (dare I say more industrial / EBM?) tone. Reminiscent of Korn and Manson. What more can I say? I like it... " - Fan of This Album.
