Morrissey - Have-A-Go Merchant 7'' Mispressed Promo - 1995 - Parlophone Records RDJ6400

- From my own Smiths/Morrissey 300 records personal collection.

- From my own personal collection, was NEVER PLAYED and kept in a special metal box for records and thus its fantastic condition.
- Sleeve, vinyl and labels are in mint condition.
- This promotional 7" was released in very limited numbers to record stations in the UK to coincide with the release of the 1995 'World Of Morrissey' album, and had unique artwork which only appeared on this 7" and the equivalent promotional CD.
- This 7" rarely ever turns up for sale and was listed in #31 in Record Collector's 'Top 50 Morrissey Rarities' article in November 2009 and it is much rarer than the CD promotional equivalent, which was presumably produced in higher quantities.
- Strangely, while the tracks listed on the sleeve and record labels are 'Have-A-Go Merchant' and 'Whatever Happens, I Love You', the tracks on the vinyl are actually 'Boxers' on the A-Side and 'Have-A-Go Merchant' on the B-Side.
- This promotional record is different to the standard 'Boxers' 7" release, however, which has the same tracks, in that this promotional version has distinctive red record labels which are not found anywhere else. Information provided in the 'Record Collector' article suggests that 'Have-A-Go Merchant' was originally earmarked for release as a single accompanied by the sleeve artwork seen here, which makes this unique sleeve effectively unreleased 7" single artwork.
- This is a rare chance to obtain an extremely collectable original Morrissey promotional 7".
- As with so many of the singles released by Morrissey, this has now become very difficult to track down, certainly in this condition.
- This single is highly sought-after by collectors and a copy such as this one is extremely desirable because of its immaculate condition.
- Consequently, it seems set to become ever more rare and accumulate in value as interest in original Morrissey and Smiths pressings continues to grow at a rapid rate.
