Description

Here is a hard to find promo copy of a single by Gene "the Draggin' King" Moles: "Burning Rubber" b/w "Twin Pipes" (Challenge 59249). Released in 1964.

Known as "the doctor of guitars," Gene Moles played with such legends as Merle Haggard, Buck Owens, and Tex Ritter. In 1961, he met Nokie Edwards of The Ventures and the two co-wrote "Night Run" and "Scratch" which was recorded by the pre-Ventures surf group, The Marksmen.

Record is in EX condition. Beautiful gloss and only a few very light paper scuffs. Labels show very minor wear. No writing, stickers, or tears. Comes with original factory sleeve.
