DESCRIPTION:

This is a real collector's 'must have'! rarities from the Festival Records vaults with nearly four hours of great music covering Psychedeli, Hippydom, Rock, Pop and beyond. A lot of these tracks simply slipped through the cracks over the years and are now seriously hard to find. Amongst this montage of Aussie music there is a heap of some very cool (and strange) stuff along with a number of other little gems that will make you so glad you won this item. All tracks were taken from the original Festival Records master tapes so the quality here is good as you'd want.

Oh yeah, apart from the two full page inserts which give you detailed background information on each band / artist and clippings from magazines / charts of the period ( most helpful and a great read by itself ).
The back sleeve shows neat little snap-shots of each as well. An unexpected bonus here are the 8 (eight) autographed signatures on the back cover and from what I can best determine were penned by Vince Lovegrove ( the Valentines ) ; Glenn Shorrock, Laurie Pryor & John Bywaters ( all of the Twilights who formed part of The Pastoral Symphony for this one-of single ) ; Phil Manning ( Chain ) ; Matt Taylor , later of Chain, and Glen Wheatley, who went on of course with the Masters Apprentices ( Bay city Union) ~ not a bad bunch of signatures to acquire just quietly!!

Apart from the very cool front sleeve the center-gatefold shows a heap of photos from this flower-power / protest era that compliments the album magnificently.

Released in 1977 on the FESTIVAL ( Australia ) label ( Cat. No.# L45705/6 ) as per the photo below.

CONDITION:

JACKET: One of the great and most original sleeve designs to ever grace a psych album! The sleeve is in excellent shape as are the inserts. No writing (other than autographs), marks, splits or tears and the spine is intact.

VINYL : A great copy !! Played carefully, glossy throughout with some feather-light odd marks. Sounds awesome on the turn-table, rated EX at the least and sure to please.
