Description
Straight from the Motor City, this is a rare white label, first press copy of the Miracles classic LP, "Cookin' With the Miracles," Tamla 223. This belonged to a 1960's Chicago Radio DJ, and had been in his personal collection since the records first release. The Motown address listed on both the sleeve and label is 2648 W. Grand Boulevard, Detroit 8, Michigan.
Side A - "That's the Way I Feel," Everybody's Gotta pay Some Dues," "Mama," "Ain't It Baby," "Determination." Side B - "You Never Miss A Good Thing," "Embraceable you," "The Only One I Love," "Broken Hearted," "I Can't Believe."
The LP jacket is in excellent condition with no tears or ring wear, just a bit of loss of the color on the edges and a long thin scratch on the cover. The rear of the jacket has a magic marker streak and some handwritten song commentary that only adds character the record.
The vinyl retains its original high gloss sheen and the grooves sound crisp and clear. Side 1 has light surface marks and a couple hairline scratches, some of which are audible as ticks, but these do not hinder the overall play. I rate it a solid VG. Side 2 is super clean, VG+++/EX.
