Description

PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question.   OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. Because of that dedication, there should be no need to open a resolution dispute before working with us.  Please keep in mind, we would prefer to continue to provide you the opportunity to acquire the rare music we present each and every week.   Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable.  We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over 18,000 positive feedback.   We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so. Thank you for your interest and support.   ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ SHIPPING:   USA ~ 1 LP = $4.00 Media Priority rates vary by area; please inquire.   All Canadian and Overseas shipping ~ Please inquire about rates.  MINT  WHITE VINYL + INSERT

1970 HEAVY PSYCH MONSTER!

  • ..|/\|...............................................|/\|..
  • THE  BLUES  ADDICS
  • ..|/\|...............................................|/\|..
  • Denmark - SPECTATOR /Shaddocks - 093

  1. The sole album released by a journeyman blues-rock band from Denmark in 1970, Blues Addicts is one of those records that gets its reputation for being an obscure lost classic, (original "Spectator" label copy is considered $1,000 - if to be found.) Very much like it's counterpart HURDY GURDY, frankly speaking, if you dig the slightly more known Hurdy Gurdy , you'll love as well The Blues Addicts, filled with crazy heavy guitar inspired by Jimi Hendrix Experience and Cream with the blues twist of Electrified Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac from round around 1970, the origin of the Blues Addicts recordings.

  2. The album, popular enough that serious collectors, neither being able to track an original down nor being able to afford the TOP HEAVY cost, gladly will grab the next best thing - a second press coming in two different forms, the scarce German "Little Wing" issue from around 30 years ago or the (triple thick pressing) Danish released exact issue on white vinyl from around 25 years ago, that is considerably more hard to find and certainly worth the wild. This is a buzzing guitar trio in the vein all you dazzling guitar freaks enjoy from the cusp of 1970. The lofty price of the original should reflect the sound of the music, or better said, click in the  image below around center of photo and re-direct you to a taste of the acid blues:

  3. The album is enjoyable tale of how a bunch of young enthusiasts took to the then-new sounds of acts like Cream and the Jimi Hendrix Experience with enthusiasm -- while the fact that the group concentrated on originals rather than cover versions is definitely to their credit. (A sense of humor didn't hurt them at all: the opening track's title is a mathematical formula, for example, while "Bottleneck" is aptly and accurately named, as one can audibly hear.) Horn's guitar work has definite excitement to it, such as the breaks on "Ba-Ba-Dar," while lead singer and conga player Thorstein "Gibber" Thomsen is competent enough, as is the group's rhythm section. It's an artifact that will please the obscurity seekers, but people with all fine things like Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac, will have the need to investigate this lost and buried classic.

  5. The cover: rated: MINT top copy, long long out of print from going on 25 years ago, there is a nice photo insert the original does not have nor the other German issue. Pressed on snow white vinyl you wont find a better copy - trip;e thick, an improvement over the paper thin original. There are no delete marks, no split seams, no bends, and no writing  ...

  1. The vinyl: Rated: MINT, snow white vinyl, looks exactly like the original except for the fact the cover is triple thick, over triple thin cardboard stock. There are absolutely NO issues what so ever!
