Original ... 1971 first press in a thick grainy textured cover ... the REAL deal!
Recommended to fans of early '70s rural rock, Neil Young, etc...this is pre-"fame" Ronstadt and her voice is shining for recognition::::
This is a lovely album by Linda Ronstadt Recorded in the brief period after she had left the Stone Ponys and before she really burst onto the scene with "Long Long Time". The selection included here has a shining rural-rock edge and the effects are overall highlighted by her clear, sharp voice that is simply electrifying. Here she works her way through a number of great songs, putting her own special style to magical work. From "Rock Me On The Water" to "Crazy Arms," ??and "I Will not Be Hanging Around" to year gradifying "I Still Miss Someone" and then "In My Reply", and onward to include a gem in Patty's Cline "I Fall To Pieces" not to forget "Ramblin Round" ... these are all rural-rock versions by a terrific special female vocalist who was just starting to find her style and form. Our overall Lp favorite is a take on Neil Young's "Birds", along with a rip-roaring release of "Rescue Me," one of her first hits.
This album is essential for Any fan of Linda Ronstadt's early work.
