Description

PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question.   OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week.   Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback.   We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so. MINT...

Long gone and also wanted triple thick (weight heavy) gatefold 2ndpress of the Holy grail 1973 Vertigo collectible ... this is the mighty textured gatefold and heavy platter that may infact out do the first press...as a result of it's "wanted" status, prices have shot through the roof, spotted way out West on collector store walls priced at three figure $$$ (!?!)

The hard rock elements Aunt Mary is known for are second phase and their step up to progressive rock becomes their main vision here. This album reminds sometimes of early Deep Purple meets May Blitz & early Genesis with it's melodic sound woven into the almost same sound heavy passages that invade the album, with diverse guitar/keyboard playing. "Janus" being a perfect blend between hard rock and  progressive rock, with up tempo pieces, quality musicianship, good English vocals and solid druming.

One of the early and by many considered to be one of Norways definitely best prog bands. Their music is a mix of heavy hard-rocking tunes, combined with clear influences from the symphonic genre. The more high performance level symph-prog sound however didn't appeared until this third, and last studio album, "Janus". A great concept-album featuring highly-skilled musicians combined with good, creative melodies making AUNT MARY perhaps the most important Norwegian band.

The nice thing about their JANUS album is that most of the tracks are longer and more varied than their previous Lp ‘Loaded’, and in the process of fleshing out their sound, the band shows some serious aptitude for complex keyboard arrangements and interesting tempo shifts. “For all Eternity” is one of those tracks, and the classic UK progressive influences are plainly evident here.

Path of Your Dream has a simple but tasty two-chords heavy progressive- that really rocks out. It breaks down in the verses, and has some odd & catchy lyrics. Mr. Kaye sounds like it could be a Beatles-song, experimental and infectious. Nocturnal Voice is a song with lots of various sides and a lot of changing paces, where drummer Ketil Stensvik shows some creativity, probably inspired by Zeppelin- drummer John Bonham. The song ends surprisingly with the intro of Path of Your Dream played once again.

“Stumblin' Stone” moves again into their familar hard rock territory, and that one is followed by a short, odd number called “All We've Got to do is Dream”.

Organist Bengt Jensen shows some creativity on “Candles of Heaven”, which seems to have been intended as a showcase mostly for him. And finally “What a Lovely Day” closes the album with a slowly-building rocker complete with harmonized backing vocals and an ear-pleasing guitar solo that rages on...
