BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
I am a record collector. Our house always had music playing when we were kids and our parents had eclectic tastes so we developed a love for many types of music.
ALL the records I am selling at this time are from my friend’s parents collection. Sadly, they were stacked for a while. I went through EVERY record and only picked the BEST condition ones to offer to you. ALL are FLAT, no warps. ALL are CLEAN. I played each record to ensure they sound good with minimal or NO noise. While the boxes in the FIVE sets I am selling are not in the best shape, they did their JOB and protected the LPs inside them.
ITEM INFORMATION:
I have not seen is record before. I was born in the fifties, so the 1960's and ‘70's were OUR music. I began buying my own records in 1973, but my first one was Jefferson Airplane’s Surrealistic Pillow.
I played all eight sides, ALL records play perfectly. They do NOT appear to have been played prior to my doing so. No scratches or fingerprints. I am sorely tempted to keep these. All the songs are great and sound fantastic! Some I had only heard over the radio, and back then it was on AM, so, WOW!
As I stated above, all of these records had been laying flat for a while, including this set. The records had a slight dish shape, with perhaps a 1/4" rise at the center on one side and less than that at the edges when flipped over. They play PERFECTLY. There is no distortion or other abnormal sounds at all while playing. No skating or slipping. I have a really good turntable and cartridge and they play and sound fine.
I have had them all oriented with the raised center face up, in their cover, under a press since playing them. They will remain there until mailing. I am hopeful that will flatten them out for good.
