Description
PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so. Thank you for your interest and support. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ SHIPPING: USA ~ 1 LP $4.00 Media; Priority rates vary by area; please inquire. THE HUMANIST ADVENT CONCEPT
= INVASION =
CND - PRIVATE PRESS - R-C-77
ORIGINAL '70s first pressing PRIVATE PRESSING of the highly (HIGHLY!) rated Humanist Advent Concept, a 4 piece prog-psych longhair underground band who couldn't get a deal with a major label because of their (decidedly great) non-commercial material & style, so the band put their only two records out by themselves... hard to find some 37 years later...here is a perfect, M- survivor first printing...
Originally released in the '70s, on private "Reveal" label, The Humanist Advent Concept's 1st album "Invasion" is truly a highlight of Canadian psychedelic and acid rock. Its undoubted relevance to connoisseurs of psychedelic and acid rock that finds plenty of validity in the group's multiple talents playing music of the late sixties /early seventies in the '70s. Maybe ahead of its time of appreciation then, but today a real killer for all lovers of the genre. Musically Concept's "Invasion" reminds sometimes of the early recordings of Amon Düül II with flaming guitar extensions, occasionally strange sound effects and surprising hooks. Guitar player Peter Riden was the main creative force in the band, although on both albums the songwriting and music credits are shared around the band. Don't miss this very rare nugget. The original album (this) is very rare and valued: expensive ... nevertheless, a must-have for all followers of psychedelic/acid rock. The "fan-man" in need to inject further thoughts:
Utterly fried and totally unique sounding, this pack of Canadian acid heads even added Brainticket-like warnings to trippers
on the sleeve, which is actually anything but hype in this instance. To my ears, what The Humanist Advent concept are getting up to here relates less to the work of any of their Canadian contemporaries and far more closely to the distinctly American spin on structurally disfigured acid rock with twisting and coiling sonic guitar through the discontinuous glittering gold in their addled arrangements and around big lungful's of screwball verbiage. Absolutely wicked shit here, and the deeper into the pudding you go, the more deformed it gets.
