Original 70's first pressing in amazing coffee table sized (weight heavy) 48 page hardbound book, fully illustrated with surreal art ala Roger Dean and album story line ...it's the 2nd solo album by keyboardist Dave Greenslade, known to Progressive rock fans as a member of the legendary Colosseum and leader of his group Greenslade...
This original double LP from England features a stunningly produced science fiction book written and illustrated by Patrick Woodroffe. This ambitious project remains to this day a great example of cooperation between music and graphic arts. The music written and performed by Greenslade is on multi keyboards (with some drum parts played by Phil Collins and John Lingwood).
Based on the wonderful world created by artist Patrick Woodroffe, GREENSLADE transports us musically into his wonderful world. GREENSLADE is assisted throughout by both Phil Collins and John Lingwood on the drums...Along the way we are treated to some nice varieties of keyboards with Mellotron, Church Organ, Polymoog, Tubular Bells, Minimoog, Clavinet, Vibraphone to name a few.
The 48 page colored hardbound book will certainly keep the listener entertained, being full of Woodroffe's fine art.
