We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback.   We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. THE BANNED / WITHDRAWN FIRST PRESS: Alongside previous Stones releases that courted controversy ("Under My Thumb", "Brown Sugar", "Star Star") due to their apparently degrading lyrics towards women, "Some Girls" caused a ruckus among both feminists and civil rights activists over such lyrics as :

"English girls they're so prissy
I can't stand them on the telephone
Sometimes I take the receiver off the hook
I don't want them to ever call at all

White girls they're pretty funny
Sometimes they drive me mad
Black girls just wanna get fucked all night
I just don't have that much jam"

Original 1978 "SOME GIRLS" first pressing vinyl with the UNCENSORED withdrawn/banned custom designed gimmix cover ... The cover was completely re-designed when several of the Hollywood stars used for the cover threatened lawsuit unless their images were removed, as follows:

The elaborate die-cut cover design, with colors varying on different sleeves, featured The Rolling Stones in garish drag alongside select female celebrities and lingerie ads. The cover immediately ran into trouble when Lucille Ball, Farrah Fawcett, Liza Minnelli (representing her mother Judy Garland), Raquel Welch, and the estate of Marilyn Monroe threatened legal action. It was withdrawn and the women's likenesses removed. Jagger later apologized to Minnelli when he encountered her during a party at the famous discothèque Studio 54.

The ROLLING STONES most aggressive, sarcastic album -- with lots of punk influences, that we have not heard since the Stones beat-punk sixties. All said, there are lots of memorable songs -- these guys out-rock anybody on the block with this, their heady dose of sleaze 'n' roll that constitutes their last great album and one of the last great albums of rock's last great decade.

"Miss You" is pop mania, a track that's both irresistibly catchy and moodily evocative; "When the Whip Comes Down" is smart and sleazy and one of the album's real highlights; 'Just My Imagination' is a brilliant reinvention, "Shattered" is Jagger at his strutting best …. Every track is a triumph of style and a fulfillment of renewed purpose. Too bad it would be the last time the Stones' style had a renewed purpose….This is also the one and only time that the twin guitar attack of Richards and Wood is given its full due on record: Wood's slide guitar adds a whole dimension of hookiness over Keef's gnarled riffs, lending the whole proceedings a cool, breezy quality that belies the filthy decadence of the songs, which after all are a country-fried bit of Motown going down on the Bowery. As for Mick, well, he's in finer than usual fettle, here, sneering and jeering his way through his group's most aggressive set of songs, all the while maintaining a sharp ear for the hook. And this is, for certain, the shining hour for one of rock's greatest drummers, Mr Watts, who plays fast and loose and sloppily clicks his sticks against the rims and reinvents the hi-hat all over again. And did I mention Bill Wyman's heroically stoic bass lines, which are often the songs' strongest elements?

CONDITION: The Cover: The custom designed gimmix cover is TOP COPY M- with promo only issued song titles sticker on front cover + Miss You sticker, GOLD PROMO STAMP at top right  ... Clean all over with no bends, no writing and no split seams. 

The Vinyl: all glossy clean, M- TOP copy that looks and plays outstanding! Clean labels as well ("PROMOtone" on label)
