WHOA!...the hard to find in minty clean, widely sought 1972 first press of the mighty URSA MAJOR...a terrific atmospheric HARD guitar PSYCH beast with terrific guitar work all through the dynamic self composed tracks ... the guitar trio is led by Dick Wagner (guitar/vocals) who once led the FROST in many Detroit kick out the jams shows ... With URSA MAJOR the volume and dynamics are up a level or three with powerful riff-o-rama progressions...
Many unsuspecting collectors may have had lesser or low expectations about this album but were blown away by its impact. One of the best lps of it's kind with great Dick Wagner vocals (Darkest Hour, Back to the Land, Liberty), framimg each song with sonic guitar work.
Another overlooked treasure of the early 70's to be filed along with the likes of Captain Beyond, Armageddon, etc. Highly recommended.
It's also a good recording.
