PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question.   OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week.   Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback.   We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. H.P. LOVECRAFT's SECOND ALBUM...

ORIGINAL 1968 first pressing vinyl in old style uni-pak gatefold with vibrant psychedelic designs... the sought after 2nd album by this psychedelic crew who moved to San Francisco from Chicago to play the legendary ballrooms with their psyched-out garage swirls amid backdrops of color-wheels & liquid light shows...

Following a move to from Chicago to California saw bassist Jerry McGeorge unceremoniously replaced by former Saturday's Child bassist John Boyan, the band found itself under intense pressure to record a follow-up to their first album. Largely written and recorded on the fly and in the studio and reportedly recorded while tripping on various illicit substances, compared to the first album songs such as 'High Flying Bird', 'Blue Jack of Diamonds' and 'Mobius Trip' found the band pursuing a decidedly experimental psychedelic attack. Extended tracks such as 'It's About Time' and 'At the Mountains of Madness' opted for dense, high end arrangements, complete with rambling percussion, sleepy, treated vocals, acidy guitar lines and spacey keyboard tones. While the results occasionally drifted (Electrallentando'') all in all it still made for an interesting listen. In spite of their trippy titles, atypically melodic and focused 'At the Mountains of Madness' and 'Spin, Spin, Spin' were among the highlights to capture the freshness of their debut. Elsewhere the Philips label tapped the album for a single in the form of 'Keeper of the Keys' b/w 'Blue Jack of Diamonds' (Philips catalog number 40578). Unfortunately, shortly after the album was released ace keyboardist David Michaels called it quits. Increasingly unhappy with the band and having experienced somewhat of a religious awakening, he returned to Chicago and resumed his college studies at Northwestern University. His departure came at a critical time for the band. Within weeks the Philips label had all but pulled the plug on support for the album the band essentially collapsing on itself. Still the album remains the best offering by the band filled with psychedelic garage moves in tuneful melodies that work in timeless fashion.
